Whether you’re starting contraception, reviewing your current pill, or need a repeat supply, we’re here to help.
Types of Oral Contraceptive Pills We Offer
We supply a wide range of safe, effective contraceptive pills depending on your individual needs, health history, and preferences:
Combined Oral Contraceptive Pill (COCP)
Contains oestrogen and progestogen. It:
- Prevents ovulation
- Regulates periods
- May reduce heavy or painful periods
- May improve acne in some users
Not suitable for: women with a history of blood clots, migraines with aura, smoking over age 35, or certain medical conditions.
Progesterone-Only Pill (POP or Mini Pill)
Contains only progestogen. It:
- Thickens cervical mucus to prevent sperm reaching the egg
- Sometimes stops ovulation
- Can be used while breastfeeding
- Suitable for women who can’t take oestrogen
We will help determine which type of pill is most appropriate during your consultation.
